Set to a sweeping soundtrack ranging from timeless Nat King Cole to the modern hits of Olivia Dean and other contemporary artists, this work blends nostalgia and newness to illuminate the beauty and complexity of the human heart.

One Sweet Dream: Abbey Road & Beyond
Ballet Rêve’s One Sweet Dream is a contemporary ballet set to the entirety of Abbey Road by The Beatles, directed and choreographed by Olivia Miranda. One Sweet Dream is a powerful celebration of the human experience, exploring our deep longing for connection, the cycles we find ourselves trapped in, and the transformative journey toward unity.
Side A delves into isolation, depicting characters’ struggles to break free of the repetitious cycle of daily life. As the ballet transitions to Side B, a shift occurs–light emerges, connections form, and the characters find hope and harmony within themselves and each other.
The universal music of The Beatles makes One Sweet Dream an unforgettable experience for audiences of all ages and backgrounds. This production invites viewers to see dance in a way that is deeply human, emotionally resonant, and accessible to all.
Join Ballet Rêve for an evening of breathtaking movement, legendary music, and a celebration of the beauty that emerges when we truly listen to ourselves, each other, and the world around us.

Châteaux en Fête 2025: One Sweet Dream
In May of 2025, Ballet Rêve brought its debut full-length contemporary ballet, One Sweet Dream: Abbey Road & Beyond, to France as part of Château en Fête, a national arts festival in Dordogne. The company performed at Château de Lasteyrie, presenting the work in an open-air setting that invited audiences into a shared, immersive experience where dance, music, and place converged.
This international presentation was made possible through a collaboration with Moulin/Belle, an organization that offers French residencies to artists seeking time, space, and support to reconnect with their creative practice.
In preparation for the France performances, Ballet Rêve successfully raised over $14,000 through community support and donor generosity. The company thoughtfully adapted One Sweet Dream for an outdoor venue—reimagining spacing, staging, and musical integration while preserving the emotional core of the work. The result was a performance that felt expansive yet intimate, welcoming audiences into contemporary ballet through familiar music, live collaboration, and genuine human connection.
Residency: April 21-May 4 at Moulin/Belle

The production has been in development for over two years, with the movement first taking shape during an artistic residency Miranda did in France during the summer of 2024.
“For me, One Sweet Dream is a celebration of what it means to be human—a journey through the peaks and valleys of life,” she said. “At its core, the ballet explores our deep need for connection and reminds us that if we pause, reflect and truly listen, we will discover the melodies within ourselves. By embracing our hardships rather than resisting them, we can transform frustration into something meaningful and beautiful—learning, in the process, how to exist in harmony with the world around us.”

This celebration of the Beatles' iconic 1969 album is choreographed and directed by Ballet Rȇve Artistic Director Olivia Miranda. It includes a special performance by guitar duo The Black Ties, the talented artists of Ballet Rȇve, pre-professional dancers from Axelrod Academy and the Axelrod Academy Show Choir.
“The music of the Beatles is so universal, I felt that it would be a really great introduction for people to experience dance and music in a new way,” said Miranda. “I want to make dance less elitist and more accessible to audiences.”
