Ballet Rêve is a contemporary ballet company based in New Jersey, founded by choreographer and director Olivia Miranda. Rooted in collaboration, sustainability, and authenticity, Ballet Rêve creates original works that honor classical technique while embracing contemporary expression. Our work is driven by a belief that ballet can be both refined and deeply human—accessible to audiences while remaining artistically rigorous for dancers.
Who we are
Our Mission
Ballet Rêve exists to create a home for dancers seeking a sustainable, artistically fulfilling career. We are committed to providing meaningful performance opportunities, fair collaboration, and a supportive creative environment where artists are encouraged to grow, take risks, and be seen. Through this work, we aim to make dance more accessible, emotionally resonant, and relevant to today’s audiences.
Ballet Rêve develops and presents full-length and repertory works that blend contemporary ballet with live music and culturally familiar soundscapes. By collaborating with musicians and drawing inspiration from iconic and widely loved music, we aim to make ballet feel welcoming, immediate, and emotionally accessible—never distant or elitist.
In 2025, the company debuted with One Sweet Dream: Abbey Road & Beyond, a full-length contemporary ballet that premiered at The Bell Theater in New Jersey and was later presented internationally at Château en Fête, a national arts festival in Dordogne, France.
Each Ballet Rêve production is built through a collaborative process that values the dancer’s voice and lived experience. We create work that invites audiences in through music they recognize and feel connected to, fostering a shared experience that is both artistically rigorous and deeply human.
Our Work
We envision a future where dancers are supported not only as performers, but as whole artists—and where audiences feel welcomed into the world of contemporary ballet. Ballet Rêve is committed to growing as a creative home, a platform for underrepresented voices, and a bridge between New Jersey’s artistic community and the global stage.
Ballet Rêve continues to expand its presence through performances, community engagement, and international collaborations, carrying New Jersey–grown artistry to audiences near and far.
